Reaktor separates the Fusion Ecosystem business into an independent company

As a whole, Fusion aims to make digital development more sustainable, high-quality and agile. This is beneficial for both the customer, the entrepreneur, the employee, and society.

Reaktor has separated the Fusion Ecosystem business, which has been developed for ten years, into its own limited company. The new company, Fusion Ecosystem Oy, started operations on June 1, 2023. This separation enables Reaktor’s main business operations, consulting and ecosystem business, to have a clearer and better basis to grow. The combined turnover of the companies belonging to Fusion was more than 150 million euros in 2022 and grew by 37 percent.
“We have witnessed in practice that there is demand for this unique collaborative approach to establishing and growing thriving companies,” says Heikki Härkönen, the newly appointed CEO of the company.
Fusion’s strength is entrepreneurial drive and the strong network effect that accelerates the growth of an individual company. The model supports the specialisation of an individual company while enabling the scale of services through ecosystem-wide collaboration. The exceptionally strong culture of collaboration, vivid founder community and ways of working enable trust between entrepreneurs and companies. Moreover this enables leveraging the collective wisdom of the network.
“These factors have been built up and developed over time supporting growth stories of individual entrepreneurs and companies,” says Fusion’s Investment Director Riikka Uimonen.

In many ways, Fusion is an ideal place for a company in the consulting industry, because Fusion’s model challenges the traditional business mindsets. It turns competition into collaboration that accelerates growth and offers entrepreneurs a competitive advantage worth more than money. The growth of each company is based on the dreams and ambitions of the entrepreneurs, not on the control of investors.
An example of this is the Estonian company Allies, for which Fusion enables much more than just financial support. Allies recently said that as a part of Fusion the company will get easier access to target markets and accelerated business growth.
“The network effect powered by the culture of collaboration is the main reason why founders choose Fusion,” says Uimonen.

Fusion offers companies funding, support and sparring, as well as the know-how of the ecosystem to support the company’s growth. At the moment, Fusion consists of more than thirty companies employing almost 3,000 experts from different areas of expertise. The operational reach is international; from the Nordics to Europe, North America and Asia.
Fusion has already grown several publicly noted success stories in the consulting industry. In 2021, the Fusion company Fourkind was sold to the American Thoughtworks. Witted, listed on the stock exchange in 2022, is a merger of three Fusion companies. In the spring of 2023, five Fusion companies merged to form the Sevendos, which generates a turnover of over 60 million euros.
Fusion offers considerable benefits to customers as well. Customers get the strongest expertise, flexibility and scalability from Fusion. Because the ecosystem companies are backed by an impressive and well-known actor Reaktor and the companies are carefully built to strive for quality and collaboration, customers with digital development needs can breathe a sigh of relief. Fusion supports driving high-quality business, which is visible to the customer as a high-quality partner. The companies within Fusion support each other’s growth through collaboration, which benefits customers by enabling smoother cooperation in a multi-vendor environment.
“As a whole, Fusion aims to make digital development more sustainable, high-quality and agile. This is beneficial for both the customer, the entrepreneur, the employee, and society,” explains Härkönen.
